Gabriele Rendina Cattani

Gabriele Rendina Cattani (1990, Italy), lives and works between Rome and Frankfurt. He graduated in musical composition from S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and the Institute of Musical Research in Milan. He has an MA in Fine Arts and Music Theory from EHESS Paris, and he is currently studying at Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main. Collaborations with fellow artists and researchers play a pivotal role in the development of his projects. In 2018, he co-founded with Amos Cappuccio, Giulia Mengozzi and Luca Morino the curatorial collective ALMARE focused on contemporary sound practices and performance. Since 2016, he is part of the experimental music organisation RepertorioZero, Silver Lion winner at the Venice Biennale of Music.
He has published numerous articles, poetry as well as his regular column for the French semi-annual magazine on video game culture IMMERSION. His works have been featured in institutions and museums such as Fondazione Prada, Venice; GAM, Turin; Parco Arte Vivente, Turin; MACRO, Rome; OUTPOST Gallery, Norwich; Tirana Art Lab; HeK-Haus der elektronischen Künste, Basel; Gallerie Allen, Paris; Magasins Généraux, Pantin.
