TULLA CULTURE CENTER
Address: “Medar Shtylla” street, Tirana
Tulla, born on October 2014 out of the desire to build an interdisciplinary and multifunctional space that serves art, culture and different social discourses of contemporary relevance. Out of the many events hosted at Tulla where we can count exhibitions, artist talks, presentations and conferences, the promotion of music has had an added level of attention. Alban Nimani and Rubin Beqo as the two program directors of this space have managed to include within the artistic program of Tulla some of the main regional factors in the field of contemporary music, hence giving a chance of expression to many musical genres that are excluded from the market logic. In the past two years Tulla’s stage has seen over 70 different performances in the genres of: Jazz, New Wave, Folk, Experimental, Fusion as well as a successful series of Jam Sessions. In the same time Tulla has been involved in organizing a number of collateral events outside of its space. From those we can mention the National Folkloric Festival of Gjirokastra, The Multicultural Festival of Berat as well as the curation of the musical component of the International Art Festival “Tirana Open”.
