Jonida Turani lives between Italy and Albania.
Following her studies in architecture at the IUAV University of Venice and at McGill University, Montreal, she worked at Marco Zordan architecture, Venice, and KGA - Guarnieri Architects, London. She co-curated with Stefano Rabolli Pansera the Albanian pavilion at the 14th edition of the International Exhibition of Architecture - La Biennale di Venezia: "Potential Monuments of Unrealised Futures"; an itinerant exhibition later exhibited at the 'Architectural Association, School of Architecture' London. Currently she collaborates as a consultant on a series of exhibitions at Fuorisalone Milano and co-directs the organization Beyond Entropy Balkans, which operates in the field of cultural analysis with particular focus on the Balkan region. Within the research framework between art and architecture, she has recently been participating as a Fellow in Athens City Ideas, a platform of the New Museum, which starts from the premise that art and culture are essential to the future vitality of cities.
